It seems to me that most statues I have seen, except for those of pharaohs, depict Lower Egyptians. Any statuary of non-royal Upper Egyptians out there?

Care to explain how you know that most of these statues were of Lower Egyptians? For most statues and personalities we do not know enough to say WHERE said person was from to begin with. Just because a statue was found in the North does not mean the person was FROM the North or had a NORTHERN background. Most of the images I have seen, statues and otherwise seem to be UPPER Egyptian, as MOST of Egypt is considered UPPER Egypt, with the Delta and Cairo being considered LOWER Egypt. Keep in mind that for most of dynastic Egypt's history UPPER Egypt was the center of power and population density.

Most of the ones I've seen are from the Old Kingdom, when the capital was in northern Egypt. It seems to me that most art from this period comes from northern Egypt (Giza, Saqqara, etc.).

I gotcha. But I dont think we can say that all of these people are necessarily lower Egyptians. Each king/queen has to be considered separately as to where they came from specifically within Egypt. For sure I cant tell and I dont think there is enough information for a lot of the old kingdom personalities to say either way. But generally most images of non royals are in the tomb art and temple art as workers, priests, etc, with some having private tombs and artwork of their own.

T-rex, I suggest you look up New Kingdom statuary, especially from the 18th dynasty as this family originated from southern Upper Egypt.
