Ahhhhhh Tina, your daughter, you are gonna be fine. Hopefully this baby will help her to grow up and make her become more responsible. I also wish that the relationship between the two of you becomes better again. Perhaps now it's the right time to have a good talk with each other and to patch things up. It's a big opportunity for the both of you, don't let it slip away. She needs your help now, be there for her all along the way into motherhood.
My hubby's niece is due in less than two months, young girl (I think around the same age as your daughter), unfortunately no contact anymore with the baby daddy, yeah it's gonna be hard but life is not fair and it surely is not over. Daughter and mom were not thrilled upon the pregnancy news around Christmas time it was I believe but they just had the baby shower last weekend and things are looking completely different now. They can't wait for the little girl to arrive.
Tina, all the best to you and your daughter. Wishing her a good pregnancy and for god sake's - be a family.
I always had a excellent relationship with my mom so it made things easier. Although I was happy to be pregnant and to have a great and supportive boyfriend (now my husband) I was scared about delivering a baby and all the responsibility involved. I am thanking my mom for being there for me, giving me guidance and support in this very important time of my life. Oh and how much she loved holding her little granddaughter ..... sweet memories indeed.
I hope you feel the same way soon too, Tina.

Why did you chose an "er" over a community clinic or a planned parenthood?
How old is this daughter?
Posted by Clear and QSY (Member # 15597) on :
Probably because community clinics never have appointments in the immediate future. Yeah, I'll go to a clinic if I don't mind having my appointment 3 months from now. The baby will be born by the time they get through all her paperwork to make sure she really is eligible for reduced payments.
Planned parenthood? Maybe there is none nearby. Or maybe she was just gonna skip it in case the TEA BAGGERS close down planned parenthood anyway. No sense getting too attached to the place.

Good luck Tina and good luck to your daughter Must be a shock right now.
You need to get the father to try and get a job to support her and the baby .
He has to now take responsibility's for the baby and your daughter.
Must be a shock but try and be there for her as much as possible, she going to need you.

Anyhow when is the next "non-profit" festival in which you and your "British certified account" is staging in Luxor?

As a non-profit the excess revenue went to the performers (who performed for free) or did it go into the "organizers" pockets?

You have to understand the sono mindset.
1. I have posted about an event back in Feb called Egypt Moving Forward which involved MAINLY Egyptians and SOME expats. I was involved with this event.
2. I recently posted I have a UK bank account that is used with paypal.
Hence I made shite loads of dosh out of the event.
Simple
The fact that I spent an entire 9 hours trawling all the restaurants in Luxor WITH an Egyptian to try and get sponsors for the event the week before it took place, and that the cost of the event greatly outweighed any sponsorship we did get, meaning the 2 main EGYPTIAN business owners that were THE MAIN organizers had to put up their OWN MONEY has sod all to do with it, sono heard I was 'in on it' and has decided I made big bucks.

the excess COST came OUT of the organizers pockets sono.
The performers performed for free but the COST of getting them from Cairo/Hurghada etc and sticking them in hotels overnight was NOT covered by any sponsors. The sponsors all had a shite load of printed T-shirts bought WITH their sponsorship money and advertising. We had security to pay for and all the band set up costs and there were barely any foreign investors AT ALL, maybe 2 max. It was all done in a couple of weeks, cant make big bucks for an event like that in a couple of weeks sono, especially after a revolution where the majority of businesses suffered GREATLY with the lack of tourists. Also media costs were paid to get them from wherever they were in the WORLD.

If thats the case, then register the "non-profit" with the Egyptian government as an NGO and with the UK.
Make sure you submit all reciepts and ledgers/paperwork.

It also doesn't look good when the main sponser is Alaa Mubarak.
If the "organizers" had nothing to hide, they'd go about it proper and not practice sleazy underhanded "unofficial" events.

Alaa Mubarak had nothing to do with it! Where the feck did you get that from? NONE of the 'regime' had anything to do with it, that was the whole fecking point! Even Mahmoud Idriss was 'escorted' out by security, Mamdour Phillip was also not asked or invited for sponsorship and neither was Idriss!
It was an OFFICIAL event with police and army approval and official papers to stage it behind Luxor Temple, do you think they let anybody do an event like that with official papers?
Please change wherever you get your info from, it's crap.
fecking moron, get back to work that you claim you're doing office girl. Get some filing done.

There was no organizers posting on here but yes we did hope or future events and that is possibly happening as the organizers were asked to do one in Alex, but given the lack of funds from sponsors in Luxor at that time I doubt there will be another here. it was sod all to do with the regime, that was the point.
I don't expect you to understand as your limited knowledge of anything in Egypt is based on being escorted to pre-designated places with the REGIME FRIENDLY EX IN LAWS.

Pre-designated places which are not tourist spots, unlike most of Luxor. As for their military and bureaucrat career history..... with that line of thinking you could claim every single government employee is pro-babaMu regime despite many of them taking part in protests.
Actually you, shareen and beryl akshar were the organizers.
The money for the event went through UK bank acounts therefore needs to be registered in the UK as well.
A true british certified account would know this and would have done it before establishing an event date.

Wrong! me, shareen and Akshar posted here about it, we were not the organizers, me and shareen did help in the organization part and Akshar was one of the sponsors, but it was BY Egyptians FOR Egyptians and EGYPT. Do you understand that? EGYPT, EGYPTIANS. and SOME expats were involved in so far as writing, calling, organizing, in fact the expat that did most is AMERICAN!
Not one piaster came into my hand or into my bank, so bark up another tree idiot girl.

Wrong! me, shareen and Akshar posted here about it, we were not the organizers, me and shareen did help in the organization part and Akshar was one of the sponsors, but it was BY Egyptians FOR Egyptians and EGYPT. Do you understand that? EGYPT, EGYPTIANS. and SOME expats were involved in so far as writing, calling, organizing, in fact the expat that did most is AMERICAN!
Not one piaster came into my hand or into my bank, so bark up another tree idiot girl.
oh and it's accountant dear uneducated office JUNIOR.
as a certified accounting clerk I can understand why you'd capitalized the term junior. As a university graduate I wouldn't think of such a thing.
A little odd when Egypt moving Forward claims to have been organized by foreigners as well as Egyptians yet the foreigners don't want to be named.
Yet only you, akshar, and shareen were the only ones to post about the 'event'.
Are the three of you ashamed or in fear of being connected to the 'event' or as a non-profit?

I don't expect you to understand as your limited knowledge of anything in Egypt is based on being escorted to pre-designated places with the REGIME FRIENDLY EX IN LAWS.
Actually you, shareen and beryl akshar were the organizers.

me, shareen and Jane are the only ones from ES that live in Luxor and that had anything to do with it, do you think you and what you think are that important that all the Egyptians involved should come and post here for you?
check it out for yourself http://www.egyptmovingforward.com/ All the names are there, you will see how many Egy ones to how many foreign ones.
search youtube, there are plenty of videos about it, there is a facebook page too. Contact them and ask your moronic questions.
Now does your employer know you're playing on ES and not working, or have you lost another job again?

I have looked at the website months ago.
No my employer is okay with it, there isn't a policy here in regards to online surfing. I do wonder what your employer thinks since you spend much more time online for chatting in a day that I do in two weeks.
So what you are claiming is you, akshar and shareen are denying being organizers of this event? I just need you to be clear.
And Yeah I noticed all the Egyptian names on the site, but you appear to be distancing yourself from the organization and I wonder why?

Ok, we'll do this step by step for numpty brain.
If you looked at the website you will see all the names of the organizers or people that had anything to do with it. Mine is there, Janes sponsorship is there. There are contact numbers, use them.

I don't bother here much as cant be arsed to sift through the spam these days but your posts are like a train crash, I can't tear myself away from the stupidity of them.
What employer of mine? I work online, doesn't mean I am employed online.
quote:So what you are claiming is you, akshar and shareen are denying being organizers of this event? I just need you to be clear.
I am saying that me and shareen helped out, we went to meetings and brainstormed ideas with the others and I trawled the restaurants with one of the Egyptians to try to get sponsorships, Jane was a sponsor and promoted it wherever she could given her extremely well known online personality. NONE of us had anything to do with signing anyone up, collecting money, organizing performers or media, seeing police, army, govt whatevers, paying anything, printing t-shirts, building websites etc etc, that was ALL done byt the EGYPTIAN organizers. Me and shareen were at the event as security/organizing who was on and when, which in true Egyptian style didn't go anything like it was planned to. That was the total of our involvement in the whole thing.
Now does your little brain get it?
quote:And Yeah I noticed all the Egyptian names on the site, but you appear to be distancing yourself from the organization and I wonder why?
I am not distancing myself from it, I wasn't an organizer in the position your weird mind has decided I was. Sorry about that but that's your mind and at no point ever did I say that I or jane or shareen were main organizers, we were foreign helpers and that was it, we did as I described above. It was mainly Egyptians, for Egyptians, for Egypt. The foreigners mostly helped in speaking to other foreigners and any written English that needed to be done, and advertising like on here and other places in English, that's all.
Hope you can understand now, if not I will break it down further into small chunks with easier words for you.

Oh and you have a car as well. I don't have a car and I still cycle out 30 miles to events.
Planned parenthood as numerous service offerings to women, men and family for any decision. An ER or community clinic would not be as helpful as a planned parenthood. Plus they can get you in touch with numerous other types of help, private and public that would prepare your daughter for any decision she makes.
If I was pregnant at 21, my family would not be dragging me into an ER but would be doing alot more gathering info, finding options and attempting to plan the best for a future family member.
It costs over $1000 per ER visit, and merely $80 of public funds to visit a Planned Parenthood. They can even reimburse certain clients for gas money.
I can't wait for Obamacare to be rolled out.

Like how quickly to ship the new family member out of the country and dump it with someone else thousands of miles away?

No it sounds like a tax payer complaint.
I just don't want non-Americans to assume every American goes into the ER for a pregnancy test.

Tina x i was 20 when i had my first daughter i had an explosive relationship with my mum before that (being too alike can sometimes be more hard work than easy) But we did patch things up and to be honest my children have just carried on cementing my reltionship with my mum. We are now more than solid as a rock ! Thanks to my kids x I think yr daughter will seriously grow up once her bubba is here, becoming a mum is a big lesson to learn and only through that do u realy come to apprecaite all yr mum did for u x x Wishing you, yr daughter and future baby all the luck and keep strong she will come round to yr way of thinking but it does take time just stick with her and show her how a mum supports her babies no matter what comes , she'll be so grateful eventually x x

Good heavens I just caught this, if Sono was so keen to really get information why on earth didn't she contact me. As Ayisha said I was a sponsor of the event, I was dead impressed with the initiative shown by the local Egyptians. It was a great event, took the older kids in the family along and they loved it. Such a lovely atmosphere The organisation was 90% Egyptian and the attendance was also about 90% Egyptian.

She doesn't need to ask you Jane, she has a 'little birdie' telling her things, a 'little birdie' that has been saying for I've lost count how many years that she's a Luxor resident when fact is she visits a fair bit, bless.
Also you can see from the comment about not wanting none Americans thinking all Americans go to ER for a pregnancy test, you can see how the mind works (or not as the case may be). I don't know any SANE person that would read that someone did something, anything, and assume the rest of that race do the same, only sono!
EMF are still working and more things will be coming up, so naturally all that will go through my bank coz I've just posted that I know things, ROFL :
