Now this is a stupid, pointless, completely carefree topic.

Let say you are a substance abuse conselor, a social worker at a nursing home, a career counselor, an interventionist specializing on internet addictions, a loan shark or even a coworker who is sick and tired of covering for an ESer at work. How would you go about relieving the ES from their daily posting on ES?

Think in terms of rehabilitation or revenge.

Would this be a 12 step program or what?

I am refering to a freaking treatment plan specified and tailored for ES addiction.

Seriously I remember a few posts in with "Pandora" was too stoned to post coherently on ES. She stated she was too stoned to respond to a thread.

There has to be a methodone like treatment for ESers.

I have a freaking bloody nose from sinus infections.

This is the third time I will irrigate my sinus' today.

I can't go to bed with this bloody nose, doc said if I dare to lie down the blood will drain into my ears and cause an ear infection.

So take this analogy, if I want to stop sleeping completely I will always have a bloody nose, I refuse to have a focking ear infection for 7 weeks again like I have had for the last 4 years.

What horrid punishing BS could you prescribe to keep fellow ESers from posting their miserable dribble, flamming each other like a bunch of tards in an orgy, and what delightful standardized punishments could be coordinated for idiotic self-hating newbies when they post their personal crisis as their very first post?

seriously now, instead of "herding cats" there must be an agreed upon "group think" SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) to get people to stop posting personal emotional garbage/baggage on ES and start discussing ES in terms of Egypt!

Think it must have been about 5 á 8 years ago, don't remember exactly, that the first treatments against internet-addiction started to being used in my country. I remember because somebody where I was involved with at that moment, was the director of a addiction-clinic and he told me about it.
I didn't know WHAT to imagine by such a thing: internetaddiction. Now I know [Smile] ; but I can say that it's different as any other addiction. At least, with me it's different.
When I am not at home, I'm not missing using the internet, never! But being at home, it seems to be part of the daily routine, like there are hundreds of habits that are making daily routine.
And also because the use of internet is also a part of work, internet using only has raised to a high level.
Somebody last adviced me to make notes about the amount of time that it takes. I would be so shocked that I should better my life.. [Smile]

Most people spend the time raising their children.
I guess in some cases this cannot be so.

Well yeah if that person has the anatomy to actually produce children.

But to know if a person is a specific gender to produce children they must be married first.

Possibly some people should be putting more energy into attracting a spouse of the opposite gender than be on the internet. First you must figure out what gender you are......

[Big Grin] It's so easy to affect you, even I wasn't speaking about your abandment of your own child. [Big Grin]

I meant if a person has children they must raise this may deter from internet addiction. Often if a person has more in their life they won't find themselves easily addicted to the internet, I was responding to what ????? wrote.
On the other hand, those who do not have children they must fill their lives with something else, some study, some exercise, everyone is different.

BLP are you sure you are female? Did the barber lop off more than just skin when you were a babe?

Possibly your barber divulged in a confession and the information made its rounds, possibly thats why you aren't married yet!

Cripes there has to be a guy out there that doesn't care if you have female sex organs or not, just get married to verify. [Big Grin]

Sono

seriously

have you had antral washouts under GA where they pierce the maxilla bone into the sinus?

if your nose is bleeding you need to get it checked out.

There should be only a tiny spot of blood after having the op.

I've had soft-tissue x-rays and some sort of scope w/camera up my nose.

where the holes in my sinus cavities are are between the cavaties above my maxilla and the ear.

I've been to a ear, nose and throat doc for years. He's got me covered.

There is little humidity in the apartment, we have radiator heat which is rather dry. The nose bleeds are from the dry air.

Don't worry I have spoke to a specialist about this for a while. He's known me since I was a kid.

Maybe that's why I couldn't make an imagination about it during that time; my children were teenagers, and now they're adult.
