Africa is often inaccurately stereotyped as the "land of mud/clay huts" and so I thought I would present another perspective outside of the nile valley cultural context as is often expressed here.
Its of interesting note that this developement archeologically was a progression over time, with local and foreign elements and influences, rather than any sudden "arab" introduction - Graham Connah, African Civilisations
