Hi I just wanted to ask a question here without offending anyone, i am always trying to gain knowledge on religons so please dont be offended anyone
If a muslim man and a christian women decide to enter into a relationship then why do the children have to be brought up as muslims?, is this always the case?, i thought that muslims and christians should respect each other.

Hi reb27, good question. It's a bit like someone marrying a Catholic where the family and church will insist the children are brought up in the Catholic faith. Mostly children will take their fathers religion and as the father is Muslim they are brought up Muslim. Its not from Quran as far as im aware and many will raise the children knowing both religions anyway, it depends on the people as with everything else really.

Because Islam is a religion which orders its believers to believe in Jesus and Muhammed while Christians does not believe in Muhammed at all.

God allows anyone to believe in anything, but they will reap as they sow.
Any person anywhere can become a Chrsitian regardless of any religious injuntion by any faith or Islamic leaders as what they say is of no importance etc.:-
